1. Complete and submit an application for admission with a one-time non-refundable $25 application fee.

2. Submit an official high school or equivalency transcript (e.g., GED, HISET, Career Plus HSE).  Transcripts must be sent directly to West Georgia Technical College's Admission Office from the issuing high school or testing agency. Please refer to High School Diploma/GED Requirements section.

3. You must submit official, electronic, or sealed college transcripts for consideration for transfer credits.  However, college transcripts are not necessary for admission.  Exception:  Students  requesting a HOPE Scholarship evaluation or receiving veteran educational benefits must submit official transcripts from ALL colleges previously attended.  College transcripts may also be required to satisfy financial aid eligibility requirements.

Submit SAT, PSAT, PACT, ACT, ACCUPLACER, ASSET, COMPASS, GED English and Math scores earned since 2014, HISET Math, Reading, and Language Arts, Georgia Milestones 9th grade English Language Arts test scores, or High School GPA of 2.0 or higher.  If these scores are not available or do not meet the college's minimum scores, applicants will be required to take the ACCUPLACER placement test.

5. Applicants may be exempt from placement testing requirements if there is evidence of completion of appropriate college-level English and math courses with a grade of C or higher, completion of an associate degree or a higher-level degree.

6. Provide documentation of lawful presence and proof of residency for determination of tuition rate. See the Admission Requirements section of the catalog for additional information.

7. Applicants to Health Sciences and Nursing programs must complete a competitive selection process before admission into the desired program.  Applicants to degree programs are initially admitted to the Healthcare Professional certificate program to take prerequisite courses. However, Health Care Management degree is also an option. Applicants should contact the Admission and Financial Aid Office for additional information. Applicants to diploma-level programs are initially admitted to the Healthcare Assistant certificate program to take prerequisite courses.
