RNSG 1730 Adult Health II

This course focuses on providing care to client with complex mental health disorders and chronic illness in a variety of outpatient and specialty settings. This course builds upon the previous concepts and principles of case management, therapeutic treatment, collaboration and referral among behavioral health and community health agencies. Application of
the nursing process for care of behavioral health and chronic long term illnesses are emphasized while proving clinical opportunities at in-patient and outpatient behavioral health, long term care, rehabilitation, wound care, home health and other outpatient settings. The lab for this course is concentrated on honing on previous learned nursing skills by providing
sim lab scenarios. A project is required for this course that concentrates on providing mental health disorder pathology, therapeutic treatment and referrals to the older client community.
