Readmission
Students who withdraw in good standing from West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) and wish to re-enter must apply to the Office of Admissions no less than four (4) weeks prior to registration. Applicable information regarding the process is as follows:
- A student suspended for disciplinary reasons may be considered for readmission at the end of the suspension by making an appointment with the Dean of Students.
- If enrolled in the last three semesters, a student is not required to complete a Returning Student Admission Application unless the student changes their program of study. To change the program of study, complete the Change of Major form under the Admissions tab on the WGTC website.
- If out more than three semesters, a student must complete a returning student application.
- Submit to the Admission Office official transcripts from all institutions of higher education attended since the last enrollment at West Georgia Technical College if seeking transfer credit. College transcripts may also be required to satisfy financial aid requirements and to receive veteran educational benefits.
- Meet the West Georgia Technical College General Catalog admission requirements in effect at the time of readmission. Students being readmitted after a break in enrollment (of at least three semesters) must re-enter under the current catalog, admission requirement, and program standards.
- Returning students absent from West Georgia Technical College for more than five years may be required to submit proof of lawful presence, residency, official transcripts and/or new placement examination scores. Student documents are maintained for five years after the last date of attendance.
Students who wish to re-enroll following Academic Suspension must apply to the Admissions Office no less than four (4) weeks prior to registration.
- Submit a Returning Student Admission Application located on the website.
- Submit to the Admissions Office official transcripts from all institutions of higher education attended since last enrollment for consideration of transfer credit. Students who request a HOPE Scholarship evaluation or will receive veteran educational benefits must submit official college transcripts from ALL colleges attended. College transcripts may also be required to satisfy financial aid requirements.
- Meet the West Georgia Technical College Catalog admissions requirements in effect at the time of readmission. Student being readmitted after a break in enrollment of at least three semesters must reenter under the current catalog, admissions requirements, and program standards.
