CISM 2201 Foundations of Computer Applications

Introduces the fundamental concepts, terminology, and operations necessary to use computers. Emphasis is placed on familiarity with basic computer functions and computer use; the role of information technology in business decision-making; and the legal, ethical, and privacy issues related to computer use in the business environment. Topics include an
introduction to computer terminology, the Windows environment, cloud computing, data security, Internet and email, word processing software, spreadsheet software, database software, and presentation software.
