Readmission

 

READMISSION

Students who withdraw in good standing from West Georgia Technical College and wish to re-enter must apply to the Office of Admissions no less than four (4) weeks prior to registration.

A student suspended for disciplinary reasons may be considered for readmission at the end of the suspension by making an appointment with the Dean of Students.

  • If enrolled in the last three semesters, a student is not required to complete a Returning Student application unless the student changes their program of study.
  • If out more than three semesters, a student must complete a Returning Student Application located on the website under Admission Forms.
  • Submit to the Office of Student Affairs official transcripts from all institutions of higher education attended since the last enrollment at WGTC if seeking transfer credit.
  • Meet the West Georgia Technical College General Catalog admission requirements in effect at the time of readmission. Students being readmitted after a break in enrollment (of at least three semesters) must re-enter under the current catalog, admission requirement, and program standards.
  • Returning students absent from WGTC for more than five years may be required to submit official transcripts and/or new placement examination scores. Student documents are maintained for five years after the last date of attendance.

Students who wish to re-enroll following Academic Suspension must apply to the Admissions Office no less than four (4) weeks prior to registration.

  1. Submit a Returning Student Application located on the website under Admission Forms.
  2. Submit to the Admissions Office official transcripts from all institutions of higher education attended since last enrollment for consideration of transfer credit.
  3. Meet the West Georgia Technical College Catalog admissions requirements in effect at the time of readmission.  Student being readmitted after a break in enrollment of at least three semesters must reenter under the current catalog admissions requirements and program standards.
  4. Returning students not enrolled for more than five years may be required to submit official transcripts and placement examination scores.  Student documents are maintained for five years after the last date of attendance.
